Though not a long lasting chew, chicken feet is a dental chew because of its crunchiness. Crunchy chews, like Chicken Feet, break apart while the dog bites, forcing the teeth to grind through bone and cartilage.

That mechanical action helps remove soft plaque. Dental sticks soften quickly, which reduces the scraping effect. Research (by World Small Animal Veterinary Association) on canine dental chews shows mechanical abrasion during chewing is key to plaque reduction.

Chicken feet is the ideal treat to use as a daily post-walk treat as it is low fat, quick to chew and cleans teeth. As a bonus, it is also collagen-rich for joint health.
